OneCo invests heavily in transport - acquires Scanmatic Elektro

OneCo and the industrial investment company Arendals Fossekompani, through its subsidiary Scanmatic, have entered into an agreement whereby OneCo acquires ownership of all shares in Scanmatic Elektro.

- Through this acquisition, the OneCo Group will once again become one of the leading suppliers of electrotechnical and telecom services in the transport sector. Scanmatic Elektro has a solid position and order portfolio in the project market for transport, both in road, tunnel and rail. The company also has a dedicated management team and an operating culture, with a high level of professional expertise and commitment, which suits OneCo well," says Marvin Jensen, CEO of OneCo.

Scanmatic Elektro, which was established by Scanmatic AS just eight years ago, currently has around 100 employees and an annual turnover of around NOK 400 million. Subject to the approval of the Norwegian Competition Authority, Scanmatic Elektro AS will become part of the OneCo Group.

- "We are very pleased that OneCo is taking over ownership of Scanmatic Elektro. After Arendals Fossekompani established the green, digital technology company Volue in March, which includes Scanmatic - Scanmatic Elektro's parent company - Scanmatic Elektro falls outside our investment universe. We have been keen to find a good owner for the company, which we have now found in OneCo," says Lars Peder Fensli, CFO of Arendals Fossekompani. The company is strongly positioned in technology that contributes to the green shift.

Aars, which is the Møller family's holding company, acquired a majority shareholding in the OneCo Group through the investment company Katalysator in January last year. The stage is now set for Scanmatic Elektro to become part of a larger industrial venture from one of the country's leading family-owned investment companies.

- Scanmatic Elektro's strategy has been to grow and become a significant national player in infrastructure. By becoming part of the OneCo Group, we are further strengthening our position in roads, tunnels and railways. Together with new owners who know the industry and work nationally, we will continue to develop the company and the products and services we deliver," says Are Omdal, CEO of Scanmatic Elektro.

Following the acquisition of Scanmatic Elektro, the OneCo Group will consist of around 2,900 employees and have an annual turnover of around NOK 5 billion. The group provides services related to electrical power, automation, telecoms and IT. The largest customer groups are energy utilities, telecom operators and public and private developers. Scanmatic Elektro will form the core of OneCo's transport business area under the name OneCo Samferdsel AS.

The acquisition will be completed as soon as approval from the Norwegian Competition Authority is received. Until then, the two companies will continue to operate independently of each other.
