Saves half a million kroner a year
Mills AS saves half a million a year on its electricity costs after receiving help from OneCo Elektro AS's automation department to reduce water consumption in the potato boiler.

OneCo Elektro's automation department at Tranby was commissioned by Mills AS's department in Drammen to assist them with a solution that could reduce water consumption in the potato boiler.
Through a good collaboration between our project manager at OneCo and maintenance manager Geir Niemann, OneCo developed and installed a system that met the needs of Mils AS.
Mills AS, which uses the potato kettle in the production of its popular potato salad, has no possibility of stopping production for long periods of time. Therefore, it had to be possible to install the chosen solution without a significant stop in production.
According to Geir Niemann, the Drammen branch of Mills AS has reduced its water consumption by 10,000 m3 in the course of a year. This results in annual savings on electricity costs of half a million kroner.
"For us, this has been an exciting project to work on, where we had to find good technical solutions, a user-friendly interface and the possibility of installation with minimal disruptions," says team leader Yoann Baud of OneCo Elektro. "When our delivery also leads to a reduction in operating costs for the customer and lower taxes on the environment, it's extra inspiring," Yoann adds.
