OneCo signs billion dollar deal with Telenor

OneCo Networks, part of the OneCo Group, has signed an agreement with Telenor for the provision of contractor services for the period 2025-2027, with an option for a two-year extension. The agreement means that OneCo will be one of Telenor's main suppliers for the development, operation and maintenance of national infrastructure within mobile and fixed networks.

The goal for both Telenor and OneCo is to ensure high quality and reliability of services for both mobile and fixed line users across the country.

"For Telenor, it is important to have good long-term partners in the modernisation of the telecommunications network and to ensure that customers are satisfied with delivery and operation. OneCo has been an important partner for Telenor in recent years and we are confident that we have a good partner with OneCo in the coming years."

Birgitte Engebretsen, CEO of Telenor Norway

Negotiations have been demanding, with strong competition for both volume and price. Telenor has chosen to distribute its purchases among several main contractors and niche suppliers for the next contract period, where OneCo will be one of the main partners.

"We see it as a solid vote of confidence that Telenor wants to continue with us as one of its key partners also in the years to come."

Petter Schive, OneCo

For Norway, it is essential to have a telecoms infrastructure with up-to-date technology that can function for many years, withstand natural forces and resist security threats. It is crucial that the telecoms network functions properly in everyday life. Reliable mobile communication is something we all use and appreciate every single day - at work, at home and for emergency communication.

"Telenor's network is of particular importance to Norwegian society. For us, it is an important recognition that Telenor has confidence in OneCo to help them with secure and reliable infrastructure."
